Milk matters more than you might think
Southlakes Incorporated works passionately to support vulnerable families, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people fleeing domestic violence.
In just one recent week, they provided:
- Food hampers and frozen meat packs for a single dad with five children
- Four hampers for a family of eight
- Support for mums fleeing domestic violence with young children
- Emergency supplies to a homeless man, including cooking equipment and food
But one item remains critically low: Long-life milk.
The organisation consumes 8,000 litres of milk each year, at a cost of approximately $14,500. Milk is one of the most requested and essential items in food hampers, especially for families with children. It’s easy to overlook something so simple. But for many local families, milk isn’t guaranteed.
Rov’s is doing what we can to help
In March, for every mobile skip bin booking, we will donate 2L of milk to Southlakes Incorporated.
